CPAC: What We Do

|
PLANNING
|
| Planning
is a crucial component of CPAC's functions. As administrator of the
HSAC, MHB, YSC, Commission on Child on Child Abuse and Missing Children,
CPAC makes recommendations to Camden County and State government,
as well as partnering with the Camden County United Way to ensure
that the dollars and resources allotted for services are used to solve
the area's most |
|
As social service
programs continue to face budget reductions, CPAC's role as an advocate
for resources and solutions to community problems is vital. As requested,
CPAC partners with Camden County United Way to advocate on public
issues impacting Camden County citizens. More

| HUMAN
SERVICES PLANNING |
|
The
County Human Service Advisory Council (HSAC) was created in 1983 by
the NJ Department of Human Services. Their purpose was to involve
local communities in decision-making about the utilization of finite
dollars for human services. The concept recognizes that plans for
local services are best forged at the local level, where community
values, service patterns, and approaches to problem-solving are well
understood. The approach is both community sensitive and cost effective.
The HSAC is finalizing the 2005 Camden County Human Services Plan,
which will be adopted by the Camden County Freeholders and presented
to the N. J. Dept. of Human Services as the official plan for Camden
County. More Details.....
